Yesterday club members served beer and OAB at the YEOBB Beer Fest. Thanks to Paul, Rob, Bernie & Ron for contributing AB for the event. Thanks also to Grant, Ryan & Karen for helping serv, set up, and takedown. Mead, Punch & OAB almost all gone. BBD Brown gone too. Full kegs were much lighter. Our next Beer Fest to attend will be the Craftathon in FWB. Date is May 21. after we fill our “free” spots, the club will pay entry fee only for those who provide kegs of beer or at least 1 gallon of OAB. We will also pay entry for those who helped make any of the beer we serve. Let me know ASAP if you are interested in participating.
We will have 2 teams in the Apr 9th gumbo cook-off at Seville. Terra & Ryan will be lead cook teams. Club will pay entry fee for all MIGS who RSVP. their plans to attend. We will also have homebrew to serve to the cooks & ourselves. Anyone want to contribute must let me know ASAP because of the limited serving area. Will probably limit number of kegs. Feel free to RSVP now.
So far, we have 4 for mead day on Apr 24th. The plan is to make 2 20 gallon batches for each participant to take home 5 gallons to ferment. Joann, Rick S, Craig & the club have the first batch. If no one else is interested we won’t do the 2nd. Maybe later. Please let me know ASAP if you want in. Only 4 spots left.
